Kano Residents Report On Dangerous Shiite Activities In State

Kofar Waika comunity residents have written a letter of complaint to the governer of Kano state about Shiites’ dangerous activities in the area and called to demolish the residence of late Muhammad Turi that has been converted to a shrine.



In a petition to the state government the residents of Kofar Waika quarters proposed a list of actions to be taken against Shiite Muslims
as “no resident of Waika area are following “Shi’ite religion.”

The petition dated January 12th, 2016 and signed by Alhaji Lawan Waika urges government to urgently demolish or take over the Islamic Centre.
